It has been a while, around 3 months, since the last post was published and this small blog is just to keep you up to date with what’s going on.
Firstly, the latest post – Minor detours XXI – has been in the middle of composition for some time but it was necessary to embark on some in depth reading around a part of the verb ‘to be’ as used in the Greek New Testament. Hopefully, once this has been completed and understanding coming from such reflection has been clarified, then the post can be completed. Regrettably this process has been much slower than would be ideal, and was before, as a member of the family has left the farm and significantly more work here has fallen on my shoulders which leaves considerably less time to do the study. If this temporal work is ignored for the sake of the blog then the rent is not paid so I hope you will understand and be patient at my attempts to manage both types of work.
In the mean time, I have been copying the posts from this blog to a substack – untotheos.substack.com – which should make the entries more readily accessible, with individual posts being titled and available without scrolling down through all of the posts. At the same time I am reviewing and proofreading the copy and making some changes which, once published on the substack, are then copied back to this blog. This is ongoing and may take some time.
Furthermore I have started writing another substack – thedayfollowing.substack.com – which you may enjoy subscribing to. This has a number of articles which are generally much shorter than the blogs here and you may find very useful.
